Karma Points System

What are Karma Points?

Karma Points are a gamification feature in DineSync that rewards actions which help the mess plan ahead and cut food waste.

Earn Points

Skip a meal in advance+10 points by default — each mess can set its own rate (saves food waste)

RSVP for a meal+10 points (helps plan portions)

Where Points Count

Karma is tracked per mess: points you earn in a mess count towards your standing in that mess only, and the mess leaderboard ranks members on that per-mess score. Cancelling a skip or an RSVP gives back exactly the points that action awarded — never more, and never below zero. Your profile still shows your combined total across every mess you belong to.

Quick Actions is a floating toolbar that provides fast access to frequently used features. It appears at the bottom-left of your screen.
